Fast build times are one of the reasons homeowners choose PCS Pools: most pools are completed in 8-12 weeks after receipt of permit. Permit approval time is separate and depends on your city or county, and weather and custom requests can also affect timing. Here is what happens along the way, following the steps every PCS pool goes through.
Design and permits
- Site survey and 3D pool design: we measure your yard and design your pool in 3D.
- Construction plans and permit: we draw the plans and file for your permit.
Permit timing depends on your city or county, so this stage varies the most.
Construction
- Site prep and staging materials
- Layout: we mark the exact shape of your pool
- Dig: we excavate to the planned shape and depth
- Steel and rough plumbing
- Pool shell with shotcrete
- Plumbing installation to and from the equipment
- Pool equipment installation: pump, filter and equipment pad
- Electrical installation and bonding for safety
- Tile and coping
- Deck installation
Finish and handover
- Prep the pool and install the interior finish
- Fill the pool, start up the equipment and balance the water
- Pool operation training and handover
What can slow things down
Florida allows year-round construction, but summer storms can slow progress. Inspections and material availability can also affect the schedule. We keep you updated at every step.
